MARC ELLIOT (Co-Composer, Lyricist, One Man Band) A native New Yorker, Marc Elliot’s desire to write for the theatre didn’t kick in until he gained experience as a stage performer, film actor, jewelry designer, sushi chef, and a psychotherapist. An opportunity in 1985 to write songs for television’s “Romper Room” brought him closer to the kind of work he had always longed for. Six successful albums later, Marc declared himself a “working songwriter.” Since then, theatre assignments have included “Prince And The Pauper”, a musical co-written with Judd Woldin. As it toured across the country, “P&P” gathered recognition for its creators with a Bay Area Outer Circle Award as well a Eugene O’Neil Award. The Woldin/Elliot collaboration also produced “Not Quite Hamlet”, a musical that’s regularly performed in the repertory of the Pushcart Players based in New Jersey. Other assignments include Radio City Music Hall’s production of “Gotta Get Away” co-written with Marc Shaiman starring the celebrated dancer-actress Liliane Montevecci. For film, Marc co-wrote the title song for Warner Brothers “So Fine” with David Spangler and Grover Dale. More recently, he scored Dale’s dance documentary “Answers4dancers” produced by the Mary Pickford Institute in Los Angeles.
