Thomas H. Diggs' (Fair and Decent) work has been seen at major regional theatres, including East/West Players, Luna Stage (NJ), Moving Arts (L.A.), and The Empty Space (Seattle). His play, “Harper Lee’s Husband,” was a part of the 2005 Pittsburgh New Works Festival and was a finalist for a Samuel French Award. His play, “Nu Shu,” was part of the Kennedy Center’s New Works Festival in April 2006. “A Yorkshire Fairie Tale” won the Aurand Harris Award at NETC this year, was developed at PlayWorks in July 2007, and received a production at The Michael Weller Theatre in NYC in the fall of 2007. It is currently being adapted as a musical. In the summer of 2007, The Kennedy Center and The National New Play Network commissioned Tom to write Fair and Decent, a play about the demise of The Fairness Doctrine. Tom recently graduated from NYU’s Tisch of the Arts with an MFA in Dramatic Writing. He was named a Dramatist Guild Fellow for 2007-2008.
